Dan Patton

Dan Patton's marketing and communications management background spans 20+ years. On the agency side he has managed $25 million account groups and operations at the EVP level. Most of his career has been with national advertising and marketing agencies like Grey Advertising, Saatchi & Saatchi and Gage Marketing Group.

Dan's strength is transforming business objectives into marketing programs that build real competitive advantage. His expertise in account planning, strategy development and brand building provides a solid foundation for the best creative ideas - Ideas that connect with consumers.

Dan has applied his knowledge to a variety of industries including - financial services, consumer durables, beverages, healthcare, travel, retail, motorcycles and sporting goods.

On the client side, Mr. Patton has served as marketing director for DH Financial and became an equity partner in launching two import / wholesale companies. These firms create, manufacture (in China), and wholesale both branded and private label merchandise for national retailers including JC Penney, Federated Group and Pier1 Imports.

A graduate of San Diego State University with a BS in Business Management, Dan has also completed post-graduate study in advertising and marketing at USC.

Dan is at his best in creative environments that encourage entrepreneurial initiative. It's only natural then, that along with his partner Dean Van Eimeren, he launched the marketing communications firm Vere Communications.

  Dean Van Eimeren

Working in print as well as pixels, Dean Van Eimeren's career has covered a broad range of roles and responsibilities. As a graphic designer, art director and creative director, his background spans small shops to large agencies - East and West coasts - and even a turn in Perugia, Italy.

Dean has designed packaging for Perugina Chocolates and Buitoni Pasta, as well as annual reports for Lockheed, Viking Freight and Aaron Spelling Productions. He has worked for notable shops like The Designory, RPA and Saatchi & Saatchi, on national brands like Nissan, Toyota, Honda and Yamaha. His experience encompasses top quality product brochures, POS and direct marketing materials, websites, web promotions and online advertising.

At Saatchi & Saatchi, Dean was creative director for integrated marketing - managing a creative department of 30 and overseeing all print collateral and interactive marketing efforts. This included the annual design and production of Toyota's product brochures as well as the development and ongoing evolution of - one of the first automotive websites. He also helped pioneer innovative virtual reality technologies and CG animated product footage for both broadcast and online uses.

Mr. Van Eimeren holds both a BFA and an MA in graphic design from California State University Long Beach, and Kent State University in Ohio respectively. He has taught design at both universities, and conducted internship programs that helped to launch the careers of many design graduates over the years.

Along with Dan Patton, a former Saatchi & Saatchi colleague, Mr. Van Eimeren is a founding partner in the marketing communications firm Vere Communications.
